  • What services do you offer?
    Basically we offer a space to rent that can accommodate small private events such as showers, birthday parties, graduation, business meetings and other celebrations. We have a large stage for entertainment. We have connections to local catering, sound person, TAPS certified bartender and bands for extra cost.
  • What is your capacity?
    Our current max capacity is 49.
  • How much is the cost?
    It depends on what is needed. You can chose to just rent the room or add some services.
  • Can I bring my own food and drinks?
    Yes. We do however require that all events follow all regulations in Michigan. If you are going to have alcohol at your event, you cannot sell tickets, offer raffles or sell alcohol at any event (private or public) We currently do not have an alcohol license. You can have alcohol if it is a private event and nobody is being charged in any way. In this case you will need to purchase a one day liability insurance ( we do not provide, check with your insurance company or check online) We do have local catering options available that would include set up, maintaining and take down. If you have your own catering, that is fine too.
  • Can I have a ticketed event here with my band?
    Yes, but for only one band. (there may be exceptions - you should contact us)You can rent the venue. There cannot be any alcohol of any kind and must adhere to our capacity regulation. We can provide a soda bar, chips and snacks at no additional cost to you for your guests to purchase. Also requires additional costs such as sound person. Or you can choose to bring in your own equipment. Up to you.
  • Will The Rock Room have their own events?
    Yes! They will be ticketed events featuring some local bands.
  • Tell me more about the Youth Program.
    We currently are working on a free mentorship program where youths under the age of 18 can come in and hear about experiences, advice etc. from some of the best in the music industry here in Michigan and some beyond. There will be live interviews etc. These will more than likely be held on a Sunday afternoon for a couple hours. All under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We will announce dates on the website. Seating will be limited per session so tickets for entry may be required.
  • Do you offer networking meetings with other musicians
    Yes. Look for meeting dates on Facebook or website. These generally are not jam sessions. They are just musicians getting together to hang out, exchange ideas, share experiences , etc.

  • Can I have my business meeting at The Rock Room?
    Absolutely yes! Get away from the distraction of the hustle in a public place. It is a great atmosphere, our big screen TV has Bluetooth capability for laptop presentations and we can cater in lunch or dinner from local establishments such as Village Cafe and Kens Kitchen.
  • Do you rent the room for rehearsal?
    It may be possible, but it depends on the details. Renting the room for this and a sound guy may not be what you are expecting. Contact us if you are interested in this option.
  • Do you offer V.I.P. service for national bands/musicians?
    Yes! If our space is available, we are less than an hour away from DTW, Detroit, Flint, Sterling Heights, New Baltimore, Saint Clair, Mount Clemens, Port Huron. If you are a musician, promoter or manager here in Michigan and have the time before a main event or concert and need a private rehearsal space give us a call or send email. We can also arrange transportation if needed and provide catering for a fee.
